My name is Sandra, and this website is my voice.

Never in a million years did I ever think my children and I would be exposed to, and exploited by the corrupt operations of the Scottish Child Welfare Legal System (SCWLS). Instead of waking in the mornings and thinking of what joyous things the day ahead held for us, I woke trying to understand and make sense of legal jargon, the intimidation, and corruption within the system.

I am a single mother of two, (aged 10yrs and 2yrs) the most precious children I could ever have wished for. I am the author of a book about dysfunctional child abuse, which I managed to live through when I was a powerless child. I was a victim.

I released my story, and stopped being a victim. Instead, I became a survivor, and started to live my life.

My childhood was based on dysfunctional abuse, and the system my child is caught up in is one of educated abuse and corruption.

I have also in the past been exposed to another system, Edinburgh draft inquiry abuse and protection of children in care, in which over a period of 2 years, I sat through intense interrogation and investigations.

Sheriff Alan Finlayson, Cathy Jamieson, Professor Kathleen Marshall have since stated that they were indebted to people like myself for exposing what was allowed to operate in a system that was created to protect children.

135 recommendations were made as a result of that enquiry. I only wish they had been introduced to the child welfare legal system.

Apparently there is a test of child welfare (as referred to in my court judgement). To date, I have not observed any guidelines, policies, practices or procedures or legislation that the legal professionals adhere to in this ‘test’.

The only test I and my children have been subjected to for 18 months is threats and intimidation from solicitors and sheriffs
